I think the sin we need to get rid of in our society is the killing. So many people die for many unexplainable reasons. Many deaths are also accidents, but that needs to stop. It is not right for someones life to end because of an accident. For example, the woman who was killed because she got hit with a bullet that was not even aimed for her. Another example is the kid who was killed in Florida because the neighborhood watchman thought he looked "suspicious". Additionally, all the lives lost during wars are unfair. Those deaths are so unexplainable and they should not even occur. People take human life for advantage. Everyone needs to realize that lives are not something to take advantage of.

The first temptation for a young person would be like if someone were to tept another by telling them to change a grade on a test while a teacher was not looking. A temptation that would be similar to the second one would be if someone were to jump off a cliff and hope that someone below catches them. Lastly, A similar tempt to the third one would be if someone idolized justin bieber and their friend tempted them to bow down to cody simpson. They are rivalries just as the devil and God.

Favorite Saint

My favorite saint was Sister Dorothy Stang, or "Angel of the Amazon". She was my favorite because I admire her bravery, her work, and modern ideas. I liked that she wore normal clothes and actually went out into the wilderness where people needed her, instead of just staying in the church. Even when she encountered death threats she still kept serving the people. I really admire her bravery and hope some day to be brave like her.

KONY

I loved the video that we watched in class today. It really made me aware of all the bad things happening across different parts of the world. When I looked on Facebook I saw that I was invited to so many events trying to raise awareness about Kony. Kony has become known across the country. I think since so many people now know about it, that we can actually make a difference. I hope we have some kind of fundraiser for it at school.

Mother Teresa

"Divine Providence" means to only rely on God's care. Mother Teresa did not raise money for her cause, for she believed God would provide her with everything. She lived by the motto: "Jesus did no fundraising." She does not ask for donations from people, but accepts donations from individuals and people's time, energy and effort to help. An example would be when a man asks her if she wants him to go to the United States and raise money. She simply says no, God will care for us. She also says that he can go and ask for money in his name but to not go and ask for money in her name. I think her idea of "divine providence" makes her effort to save people's lives even more special.
My favorite quote from Mother Teresa is, "I am a little pencil in the had of a writing God who is sending a love letter to the world". I like this quote because it is different. I also like it because it uses a metaphor showing that the hands are Jesus' and she is the pencil. She is acting through Jesus to help the people of the world. She is like his voice. This shows that Mother Teresa was sent from God to show his message.

Praying As We Go

When we do the exercise "Pray As We Go" it give me time to relax and think about what I am feeling. It also allows me to enrich my relationship with God and learn about his life more than I ever knew. I also enjoy then writing about it in my journal. It allows us to understand the Gospel.
