Mother Teresa

"Divine Providence" means to only rely on God's care. Mother Teresa did not raise money for her cause, for she believed God would provide her with everything. She lived by the motto: "Jesus did no fundraising." She does not ask for donations from people, but accepts donations from individuals and people's time, energy and effort to help. An example would be when a man asks her if she wants him to go to the United States and raise money. She simply says no, God will care for us. She also says that he can go and ask for money in his name but to not go and ask for money in her name. I think her idea of "divine providence" makes her effort to save people's lives even more special.
My favorite quote from Mother Teresa is, "I am a little pencil in the had of a writing God who is sending a love letter to the world". I like this quote because it is different. I also like it because it uses a metaphor showing that the hands are Jesus' and she is the pencil. She is acting through Jesus to help the people of the world. She is like his voice. This shows that Mother Teresa was sent from God to show his message.
